Tabitha could do nothing but cry after Andy left. She always knew most criminals were bad people... but she never thought they would be so mean to even the people who run on their side of the tracks. She couldn't throw much of a pitty party though. She had to get ready for Brett's birthday.
Caleb showed up to the party. (Luckily without Rae or Toya) All she could do was cry. Caleb pulled her into a hug and she finally calmed down enough to tell him what happened.
"You have to report him." Caleb said.
"I can't..." Tabitha said.
"Why not!" Caleb said.
"I can't tell you why." Tabitha said after all she was sure if she went to the police they would find out about her job and that one night she spent in jail.
"I'm getting really tired of all these secrets Tabitha!" Caleb said.
"I'm getting tired of keeping them secrets! But I could loose everything if I tell you the truth and someday I will right now I just can't! You have to trust me..." Tabitha said.
"Lets go celebrate Brett's birthday." Caleb said as he turned to walk away.
Brett grew into a cute little toddler that day.
A few days later there was no doubt in anyone's mind that Tabitha was having another baby. Tabitha hated to think that this poor baby would come into the world in such a hateful way. But she knew one thing and that was that Brett and her would love this baby no mater how it got here.
Then something magical happened. Tabitha decided to take Brett, Rayta and Charlie out to the dog park one day. While she was there she met a guy named Tony.
"So just curious. Where is your husband?" Tony asked Tabitha.
"Husband? Oh I'm not married.... Not even in a relationship actually." Tabitha said she was so hoping this guy was flirting with her.
"Oh but you have Brett and a new little baby on the way?" Tony said.
"Um.... it's a rather long story..." Tabitha said.
"Well would you like to come out with me to dinner tonight? You could tell me about it then." Tony asked.
"Sure." Tabitha said. She could do with a decent relationship she thought to herself and this could be her chance.
Tabitha went home and changed she couldn't believe she had a date. Thinking back on it even her and Francis had never had a real date.
"Be good for the babysitter, OK." Tabitha told Brett as she left.
"I feel kind of weird bringing a pregnant woman to a bar..." Tony said.
"Don't worry there's no alcohool in mine" Tabitha said
"Ha Ha, You really should have let me buy the drinks though." Tony said.
:It's OK. I don't mind really." Tabitha said.
Tabitha and Tony had a great night. Filled mostly with shuffleboard...
Tony took Tabitha back home.
"I could stay the night you know. I don't want you to go into labor and be alone... You said you were due soon yourself." Tony said.
"You have to be one of the sweestest man I have ever met Tony. But I think I'll be OK." Tabitha said leaning in for a kiss
Around midnight Tabitha woke up and knew something just wasn't right. When she stood up it hit her. She was in labor.
She called Tony to let him what was going. on and settled down on the couch to watch some TV and try to relax.
Half an hour later Tony was at the door.
"You didn't have to come I told you that." Tabitha said.
"I know I didn't but I wanted to." Tony said.
3 hours later Tabitha had given birth to another son who she named Maxwell.
"You really don't have to stay anymore you have been more then good to me." Tabitha said.
"I would have left if I wanted to." Tony said.
"I don't get why are you still here" Tabitha said.
"Because I've never felt this way about a girl before. I've never wanted to spend so much time with someone else. But I know that you might not be ready for a relationship... You've been through a lot and I don't want to push you. So I'm ready to just be your friend. But I was thinking being a single parent can't be easy so let me move in with you. Be a live in nanny for you. Help me get my daycare business of the ground. And if something happens between us something happens. If it doesn't at least we can be friends." Tony said
Listening to Tony's speech really touched Tabitha. She really liked him too and he was so sweet to her... But if he moved in he might find out her secret...
"You're crying. Why are you crying." Tony said.
"Because I want you to move in with me and I think your offer is absolutely amazing but I just can't let you do that... I still have a secret that I can't tell you..." Tabitha said.
"That your a thief." Tony said.
"How'd you know." Tabitha said.
"While trying to save up money to open my daycare. I took a job at the police station. We have all the files for all the criminals in Rosewood Hills. I saw your picture while I was sorting files the other day. It said you were inactive though." Tony said.
"I'm not technically inactive... I just haven't taken any jobs since I had kids..." Tabitha said.
"If you don't mind me asking why did you do it." Tony asked.
Tabitha told him the whole story. Not being able to find a job and not being able to quit now. The story was too much for her however. She began to cry and Tony pulled her into his arms and stayed there.
Within a few weeks Tony had moved in and They had built a completely new house including a nice big daycare center in the basement for Tony to work out of.
Having the Daycare was good for Brett too he really hit it off with one of the little girls at the center named Doreen.
"Happy Birthday!" Tabitha greeted Tony with a kiss.
"Wow what was that about." Tony said.
"It's your Birthday!" Tabitha said.
Tony didn't know but Tabitha was planning a very special surprise that night.
Sometime watching Brett and Maxwell play just the two of them was nice as well.
After the daycare closed and Brett and Maxwell were put to bed. Tabitha started getting Tony's birthday present together. She was a little nervous to say the least... She hadn't done this since Andy well... you know...
"What is this?" Tony asked as he walked into there room that night.
"It's your Birthday present." Tabitha said.
"Well... I love the idea of having you as my birthday present..." Tony said.
"You don't like it... I get it..." Tabitha said.
"No!" Tony quickly responded, "I'm just worried that your making this decision for me and not for you... I don't want you to feel like you have to do this for me." Tony said as he climbed on the bed with her.
"I'm not doing this for you...while I am.... but you know what I mean I don't feel pressured to do this by you at all... It was my choice and my decision. I want to do this." Tabitha told him as she began to kiss him.
The next morning Tabitha did everything but regret her decsion from the night before. It had been fantastic and a part of her wished she could relive it. Things took a drastic change for the worse though when she got a phone call from Rae.
"Aunt Tabitha... I don't really know how to tell you this but My Dad hasn't been doing so well... The doctors say that he's gotten pretty old and they don't know how much time he has left. I thought I'd let you know in case you wanted to drop by." Rae said
Tabitha could hear the tears in her nieces voice. As much as she wanted to cry...right now she just couldn't let herself.
Oh dear! Andy was way worse than Francis. Poor Tabitha! It's too bad she feels she can't go to the Police, he needs to get turned in! I'm glad she found Tony though, he seems like he's a good guy.
ReplyDeleteHow sad about her brother! I hope she is able to tell her brother everything before he dies, so that they can have peace, no secrets between them!
